I’ve been shopping for some time for an affordable red dot optic. Someday, I’d hoped to save up for a Trijicon, but needed something now and didn’t want to settle for junk!
As I was shopping around, I started seeing some good reviews on the very affordable Bushnell TRS-25 red-dot optic. Although it retails for more, there are some really good deals on it from time to time. Cabala’s has had it for as low as $69.00! I finally picked one up locally at a gun shop for just a little cheaper than if I had paid the shipping to order one.
I begin by trying it on my Marlin 795 that I plan to use for Squirrel Season. I have to admit that I am really impressed! My plan is to get the proper riser and try it on my M&P 15 so that I can co-witness it with my iron sights. If things work out like I think they might, I may be content to just get a second one and not be in such an all-fired hurry to plunk down more for an optic than I usually spend on cars!
This is what I get for letting my wife and family get used to living indoors and eating regularly!
